I am not particularly interested in teaching ‘tips and tricks’ that give students a false sense of security. I believe that the reason GMAT exam is administered is because business schools would actually like students to have an understanding of the material being tested. As a result, I help students develop a deeper understanding of the material that not only leads to exceptional results on exam day but also builds a solid foundation that leads to success in the world’s top MBA programs. Students leave my class understanding more than how to eliminate three wrong answer choices.

In trying to discover his perfect career, Michael followed a path that uniquely prepared him to successfully help students with their GMAT Preparation.
In the United States Navy’s Nuclear Power School, perhaps the US military’s most intellectually demanding program, Michael studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry, before working on a nuclear reactor.
After the Navy, Michael returned to his family’s business, No Frills Oil Company Inc, where he used his mathematical training to modeled global and local petroleum markets. While working for his families company, Michael began counseling at risk children at Kids Peace New England, where Michael discovered his love of teaching.
Itching to see the world, Michael moved to Poland, where he taught English as a second to language to engineers, lawyers, and executives at Bombardier Transportation Polska. After discovering that learning Polish was far more difficult than Nuclear Engineering, Michael moved to London.
Since 2006, Michael has been helping students from all over the world prepare for the GMAT. Convinced that the most talented GMAT instructors are seldom satisfied by working for large test prep companies, Michael partnered with Ian, Ami, and Greg to launch GMATix.com, the world’s most comprehensive list of independent GMAT tutors and Admission Consultants.
“Hi Michael, hope all's well with you. Just wanted to let you know that I retook my GMAT on Thursday and managed to pull off a 750, which I'm really pleased with (not to mention a little surprised!). I heard from INSEAD the week before who said that they liked my application but I needed to get a higher score in the GMAT so hopefully the new score will do the trick. “
“After receiving very disappointing results on my GMAT (despite taking a week-long Manhattan Review GMAT prep-course), I contacted Michael. Over the course of 2-3 months, we met regularly and in the end I was able to improve my overall score by 170 points. Michael was able to explain both the verbal and quantitative parts in a very clear way and gave me invaluable tips on how to improve my score. I am very grateful to Michael for reigniting what was a rather dusty, old part of my brain (i.e. the mathematics dept) and would recommend him highly.”
“Michael helped me raise my score by 160 points!! I had been studying on my own for about a month and only got a 520 on my first attempt. Then I decided that I needed help from someone in order to raise my score but didn't want to go to a class with another 10 people, so I looked for a private tutor. I found that Michael was the right person. I didn't know him before, I only saw his add and decided to have a test session with him and see if he knows his stuff and can communicate his knowledge. I was happy to realize that he understands both sections of the test better than anyone and has managed to strip it down to different areas in order to target them individually. His techniques of approaching the test both in the Quantitative section and in the Verbal are very helpful and they really work! “
